What exactly is the “fish eyed view?”

Well, just asking this question in and of itself answers part of it…

You have come across a place where we don’t settle for the face value of things.  We seek information beyond.

And that is another interpretation of the “fish eyed view”…

This site is run by a couple who are naturally inclined to look for the whats, whys, and hows about the world around us.  We seek understanding of sometimes difficult concepts.  It helps us determine for ourselves how we choose to view something.

This view can often times be wide open, allowing for the analyzing of all angles.  From evaluating and bringing a whole spectrum to light, it can allow for more thorough understanding.

It is our mission to seek out interesting information within a wide array of subjects, discuss it, and help expound on and bring important factors to light, which can help spark new learning and a variety of ways to look at things.

So let me introduce ourselves.  My name is Jason.  I would consider myself introspective, analytical, and very much into philosophy.  At the same time, I enjoy embracing life, and experiencing what it has to offer.  This includes an embrace of the arts, music, science, literature, sports, nature, travel, spirituality, and much more.  Professionally, I have worked in the travel industry for many years, and naturally, this has given me the opportunity for many interesting experiences.  Furthermore, I love to write!

Gina, my future wife, shares many of these same characteristics.  We think very similarly.  Professionally though, her field is quite different from mine!  She holds a Masters degree in Biomedical Science and Zoology, and certainly holds a wealth of knowledge about almost anything related to science, health, medicine, nature, biology, and wildlife.

Sometimes I like to just test her with some random, inquisitive questions about things related to nearly anything within this realm, just to see really how far her knowledge goes.  95% of the time, without hesitation, she comes out with the most easy-to-understand, concise, but yet incredibly thorough and illustrated explanation of the subject at hand!  I just sit there and smile, because I am so proud and sometimes dumbfounded by how much she really knows!

And that is the purpose of this blog!  Together, we view things through this “fish eyed view,” where we enjoy talking and writing about things that interest us, and we hope that you can take interest too!

So we invite you to come along and look at things through this broad spectrum, and maybe come up with your own view and stance on things that you may have never considered before, or were just looking for more information about.

Things like health, nutrition, medicine, psychology, science, nature, wildlife, energy, and the environment.  Heck, you may even sometimes see a bit about politics, money, music, and more, but primarily, we’ll be focusing on the physical world around us, using the “fish eyed view.”
